- People who volunteer to help, show up, and really do help.
- The sense of taste and radishes.
- A good sleep. And totally not in the spirit, it would be great to be thankful that again tomorrow.

In the wake of that session a post came easily and I felt awake and present. I hope the day comes when these are the normal, not the special.

That's the name of the new blog. I'm thinking about how I want it set up, and how often I'll post to it and if I'll even make it public at all, but for now, gratitude is the color of the day. The idea is to turn the mind and heart to gratitude for the things of the day. Not just writing them, though. In the choosing of three or five or ten things to be grateful for, you should spend a moment meditating on them. In the contemplation returns the emotions that were evoked or it will evoke a special emotion for the memory. It is in the feeling of the gratitude that our hearts make change. For now I'm thinking of any gratitide for the day will work, but as I get comfortable in the sharing, I may have categories of gratitude each day. Something like a self, a family or friend or other person, and a social or world gratitude. But for now I'll just come up with whatever for the day.
