1. I am grateful for a snow day filled with tea, knitting, a fire in the fireplace and a house filled with teens.

1. Lunch with Paula!  I am so grateful that my college friend got in touch with me while she was in the region for a few days. 
2. The smell of baking in the house.
3. The clean kitchen after the baking was done, she really did a bang up job and I am grateful to see it sparkle and not have to do it myself.
4. Finishing a Christmas present.  At least that one person will get a hand-knitted gift from me this year.
5. Weather permitting, things may get back to normal around here.

1. A meeting that went even better that I expected it to go.  I learned some new things and got a new perspective on something I have been working on.
2. Coming home to a crock-pot with yummy soup in it, a warm and cozy dinner.
3. I heard a few more people that have gotten their electricity back.  I'm grateful that there is progress, and hoping that all are staying safe and sound.

1. I cannot help but to continue to be greatful for the warmth and light and normalcy that we have and others do not.  The taken for granted comforts.

1. I am grateful to have warmth and coffee to share with the cold masses in our neighborhood.

I must ask that you keep the residents of this state in your hearts.  Over 200,000 customers are still without power and it is looking like days and weeks before this is changed.  Many trees are still on downed lines and schools are already closing for Monday.

1. Hugs, especially hugs from Erin.  I am grateful for them and try to really live in those moments, breathe them in and think that this is my child and I love her and in this moment that is all I ever need.
2. I'm grateful for what I can eat.  Well, to be honest, I am working on that one, but if I keep telling myself that I am, and really.  What I can eat is pretty yummy, I should be grateful that I have it.
3. I am grateful to live in a time and place when I can get fresh vegetables and foods that I can eat on this diet.  There is a bounty of lettuces and cucumbers every time I go to the store.  Why the heck am I complaining?
