- Hugs, especially hugs from Erin. I am grateful for them and try to really live in those moments, breathe them in and think that this is my child and I love her and in this moment that is all I ever need.
- I'm grateful for what I can eat. Well, to be honest, I am working on that one, but if I keep telling myself that I am, and really. What I can eat is pretty yummy, I should be grateful that I have it.
- I am grateful to live in a time and place when I can get fresh vegetables and foods that I can eat on this diet. There is a bounty of lettuces and cucumbers every time I go to the store. Why the heck am I complaining?
1) Vacation days alone in my quiet house.
2)My asthma med that allows me to breathe freely. And when it (asthma) is under control, the ease with which the breath slides in and out of my body.
3) The lasting durability of handmade items. The quilt that my Great Grandma made 40 years ago not only still warms me but is a thing of beauty and carries a part of her beyond her mortal being. The items I make, like Nanny's will carry a piece of me to others today and every time they are used. I am so grateful that what others and I make lives beyond the original time and intent and carries a living history.
