I've Got A Blue Gratitude

Cabins and Such

1) I'm grateful that I have 4 weeks vacation so that I can take a snow day (or two!) when the roads are bad and my kids have snow day after day after day...

2) I'm glad I've got knitting and crocheting to keep me from killing my cabin-fevered-kids.

3) I'm glad I don't live in a cabin without electricity or even in a house without electricity like so many in my area affected by the recent snow/ice/snow.

Enough

1) On most days, I am enough for most people and situations.

2) On most days, I have enough of everything I need and want - usually even more than is good for me.

3) That I am not too old to learn a new concept - like enough.

Friday

1) I am so very, very glad that it is Friday.

2) I'm grateful that I survived this week - it was a tough one.

3) I'm grateful for the serenity of acceptance.

1) I don't HAVE to have a title.  There are no blog police.  I'm grateful that I am learning that just because there is a space doesn't mean I have to fill it.  Either a title box or in my yarn stash. 

2) I am grateful of the awareness that long term positive results can come from the most unlikely and unplanned for places.

3) I am grateful that the country in which I live no longer condones torture.

Nada

1) I sure as heck am glad I don't have a blog in which I have to come up with some sill-a-- title every day.  That's the hardest part of this thing - title.

2) Progress not perfection.

3) Advisors and helpers who are kind and honest.

Hope

1) On such an historic day, I am grateful for hope.   I feel the energy even in Ohio.

2) I am grateful that I am becoming more mindful of what is important in my daily life and routines and that I sometimes even remember to savor them.

3) I'm grateful for plentiful, safe, clean water whenever I turn on the tap.  Something I take for granted was even in my grandmother's lifetime a luxury for many.

Grown Up

1) I'm grateful that the technology of mammography exists.  My Mom had breast cancer when she was 33 years old.  The technology at that time for detection and treatment were literally light years behind what we have now.  As a result, she carried a scar that sunk her chest from her armpit to her midchest for the rest of her life and with the visible, the invisible emotional scar of the horror of that to a young woman.  Yeah mammograms aren't fun, but they sure as hell beat the alternative.

2) My dental hygienist.  Now there's a job I'd hate.  But she is so kind and thoughtful and I appreciate her care.

3) That I am a grown up and do what is right - even when I don't like it.  My family's and my health are important enough to put on the big girl pants.

Woolenstuff

1) In this bitter weather, I can be warm and toasty in wool.  The pipes in the building where my office is, froze yesterday, but I had gortex boots and a wool cardigan and really didn't mind.

2) Wool and wool blend fibers that provide me peace and serenity sliding through my fingers as my wheel and I become one with a primal urge to create warmth.

3) My wheel.  It is the most extravagant, foolish, most wonderful gift I have ever given myself (besides the divorce - LOL!).

1. I am grateful for the ability to walk.
2. There is more right with me than there is wrong, there is more right with me than there is wrong.........  I am thankful for the awareness of that, and keep reminding myself every minute or so. 
3. I am grateful that I believe that even if I don't always see the truth in that last statement, I will come around and embody it in time.
4. I am grateful that Tammy is keeping this blog going on these days when I have been too tired to manage it.  I promise, my written gratitude journal is daily up-to-date.
