It's yummy, wonderful eye candy, that Koigu is. And this photo is Koigu-licious. Actually a Koigu-liscious Contest!!
Readers of The Blues have witnessed my obsession with Koigu acquisition of late. My search has consumed many a good knit-worthy hour, driving to not-so-local yarn stores, surfing the internet, making phone calls. All for the *perfect* Charlotte's Web. Or two. And when Kerstin debuted her Frolic........well, another major preoccupation started. Happily, I can report that I have a couple of Charlotte's decided on and my Frolic is almost underway. Even my husband is showing enough of an interest to be happy about that!
Now for the Koigu-licious contest!! The picture above shows most of the Koigu I have amassed (I actually have procured a couple more colors since the photo shoot!) Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to take a guess at how many skeins of Koigu I have in the photo. What you see pictured includes no duplicate skeins. There is one skein of each colorway I have. There are a couple that have the same color number, but dyelots that differ so much that they really could be totally different colors. The skeins may be in their original twisted hank, an open hank, or wound into balls. *******A quick addition to the info-Margene pointed out that the depth of the box is not obvious-it is about 1 3/4" tall, so not very deep. Keep the guesses coming, you can use the 'email me' link on my side bar.******* The competitor that comes the closest to the number pictured will win..............Koigu! If there is a tie, all correct guessers names will be put in the old knitting bag for a drawing! Entries will be accepted until August 4th, and the winner will be announced by August 6th. Come one, come all! Step right up to this Koigu-licious challenge!
Meanwhile, back at the Ranch, ther has been quite a bit of knitting going on, and the weekend of classes and shopping at the TKGA Northeast Conference and FiberArts Market. I made modest additions to my stash and some new techniques were learned. Details to come! The Victoria Tank is cruising along, and progress photos are on the way. Check back!
