Mother's Day Weekend Means
New Hampshire Sheep and Wool. It was a great weekend, but really. How different can a post about this weekend be than last year's or a Rhinebeck post, or a Maryland post......... Well, it probably can't, but here are a couple of things.

Lots of pictures were taken by lots of people. The fun of this should be turning up around blogville pretty soon. Those reports will probably include:

Spinning and weaving an interpretation of
Starry Night by Van Gogh
Interpretation by the Gogh Goghs
I'll share a little bit more about the weekend during the week. I didn't take a lot of photos, but a few are fun. And yes. I bought a couple of things, and while I'm sure none of you really care, I always like to look at what other people get, and this is at least a record of that, the blog. For when I totally forget what the heck I'm spinning or knitting.
Two hundred thirty-five to go. Paint your palate blue and grey.....

Oh, phew, a post. I was *this* close to emailing you! That looks stunning -- I thought of you guys today -- look forward to hearing more!

I really am looking forward to seeing what you got, but I understand completely the feeling of how to blog this so it at least sounds different than all the other fabulous fiber festivals that I've been too. Could the problem be that we have had too many fabulous fiber festivals? say it ain't so!

Congratulations!! I'm so impressed! Both with the blue ribbon, AND the themed shawl.
I would love to see what you bought. There just isn't enough blue in the world.

I was thinking about you guys all day yesterday - I so wish I could've made it up a 2nd day. Your work looks beautiful and I can't wait to hear the stories from that morning.

It was great fun, wasn't it? I'm so glad to see the display shot of the shawl after watching its progress through the morning. You guys rock!
(The hand in question is Maryse's btw.)

I LOVE that shawl! Weaving is such an amazing thing -- who knew that warp weft that we saw painted would turn into this!
Even if you HAD had some competition, you would have won that blue ribbon!!!! :D

Stunning shawl! Congratulations on the collective blue ribbon! Thought of you all day yesterday and wondering how you were all doing. Wished I could have been there for a second day!

I am truly awestruck by your accomplishment. The shawl is fabulous! And to think you all sat there and cranked it out in just a few hours... Spinning is something I usually consider relaxing and meditative, but I bet you all had a good shot of adrenaline yesterday. ;-)
