Well, it is getting on in this year of daily blog posting. It has been fun to keep up with the few others of us that are making the day to day effort, Sandy, Norma, Nora, Lucia, and joined by Maryse. I know there are more of you, feel free to take me to task in the comments, because I love to be put straight! Anyway, it has been a great year of blogging daily and it seems as if we make it look fun, because have you seen how many people are pledging to blog daily through the month of November? Joining NaBloPoMo are (and again, if I've left you off that means that I probably don't know that you have signed up, so let us all know in the comments!) Kim, Laurie, Kathy, and two crazy people intrepid knit-bloggers have decided to finish up the year with daily blogging! The support! The insanity! The fun! The camaraderie! Oh, the sisterhood! Did you all know that this is just what I needed for that push to the finish line? But so far only Cheryl has joined in on the half-marathon fun! What is taking you all so long?
Fifty-nine to go. I am totally ignoring the fall I took on Friday and the sprained ankle that I fell into. No, not while running, just normal walking. When will I learn that Danskos and I do not get along? Think healing thoughts!

Thinking healing thoughts for you while thinking the ankle story would make a good blog post. Always trying to help you, sweetie. xo

Oh, ouch! Wishes for quick healing!

I'm sorry about your injury! I broke my foot last year and it slowed me down for months. I certainly take good health and a working body for granted. All it takes is one injury to remind you how NOT indestructible you are. Take it easy.

There, there...all will be well for and with you. ((thoughts of healing are being sent...thoughts of healing are being sent...thoughts of healing...)) I'd REALLY love to join in the NaBloPoMo, but according to their rules, not mine, one must have a blog to participate. When I grow up, I hope to get one. In the mean time I'd love to encourage you on(and maybe others if needed) with daily comments to your daily postings. The half marathon, well, I'll commit to doing the P90X as directed...six days a week for an hour or so for 90 days. Hm...starting... by Nov 16. I have to put everything back into the now finished basement, purchase a TV and DVD player. Also, this whould give your ankle time to heal properly. Let me know if this works. :)
GO GIRLS!!

I know firsthand that walking can be pretty dangerous. I'm so sorry about your ankle! Sending rapid healing thoughts your way!

I'm sorry to hear about your ankle! I hope it's better really soon.

You were my inspiration for "is it possible for a blogger slacker to keep going on something like this??"
You know who to call if your ankle refuses to come to heel. I'm thinking healing as well as punny thoughts.

Crap! Sorry about the ankle. As one who trips over her own feet regularly, I salute you, and wish you quick mending.

Whoever dreamed up ankles as the sole supporting structure for upright humans had a screw loose. But think of all the knitting you'll get done while your ankle heals.
And I'd join you in NaBloPoMo, but having gotten exactly one comment (Laurie's) in the past three days of blogging does not inspire me to keep going this month. No point boring everyone to death.

Yeah - I can't believe I decided to blog the entire year. I like that you have the countdown in your posts. I check in with you to see how much more to go. It's been fun getting to know you this year.

Drat - I need my eyes checked - I just read the fine print about your ankle. I'm so sorry! So many people break their feet in slippery shoes - wedge sandals, flip flops, etc. Yikes!

Oh no! Not the ankle again. Several of my friends won't wear Danskos for that reason. There is another brand that looks just like Danskos that has a wider heel. I'll try to find out the name for you.

Haha! What a left handed compliment from Laurie. She cracks me up.

Bummer, dude. I hope its only a mild sprain that won't keep you down for very long. However, you can still lift upper body, right?

I don't know what it is about Dansko's. I know they are not all that stable, yet I love wearing them ... partly because I am taller in them, but without wearing heels!

Many healing thoughts are heading south! I have trouble with Dansko's too...but more because I tend to be klutzy :)

Is there a little angel on my shoulder? I have WANTED a pair of Danskos for years -- have drooled over them, dried them off and tried them on, have NEVER actually bought a pair. I wonder...
I hope your ankle is better soon!
