Ten On Tuesday

Ten Ways You Can Save Money.

bsheepaura

  1. Shop that stash!  Don't spend hours looking for that exact color of Kidsilk Spray to go with the one skein you have even when it looks like that color wasn't even made although you think it is Medici, none of the examples of the yarn shown online look anything like the one you have.  That color card looks a little more like my yarn, but it seems it doesn't exist.  Time to move on, maybe.
  2. Fight the urge to just "check out" what is new at my LYS.
  3. Or the quilt shop.
  4. Or REI and EMS.  But a new pair of winter running tights and those cool wicking tops.....
  5. Or Lululemon.  I went there this weekend and found some sale tops, but their sales are, well, still expennnnnnnnsiiive.
  6. Make my tea (or coffee if you drink that) at home.  Oh, and stay AWAY from Teavana.  And the guy around the corner who sells Harney teas.  And the Harney catalogue.
  7. Eat at home.  Actually, being on a no sugar/wheat/gluten diet makes that a lot easier.
  8. Don't Christmas shop at the mall.  I am not much of a shopper and WOW!  There are so many things in the stores that I didn't know I needed so badly.
  9. USE the things you already pay for, like that gym membership, the cooking magazine.....
  10. This is all means a lot of staying home which saves gas and leaves time for you to enjoy your home and everything in it, but if you do have to go out  you should take cash and leave your debit cards, credit cards and check books at home.  When you're done, you.are.done.

Twenty-nine to go.  I will keep looking for the Kidsilk Spray.  It has to exist somewhere.....

I think you need to shop your tea stash, not just your yarn stash.

If I had the color of KS Spray I'd send it your way. Staying home is good in so many ways.

I love staying home and my tea so this is all good advice for me to be reminded about!

I love this Ten. I may have to do it on Wednesday.

Love your list but I have to laugh about #1.

Oh, and did you see next week's topic? I know you will love doing that one.

I'm telling you - go to Marshalls for the running gear. I went to the Nike outlet (in Kittery) and checked out their technical fabric winter gear. DryFit tights - forty bucks and a dryfit wicking top another 40. I got the exact same (literally, identical!) outfit at Marshall's for $10 each. Their running gear selection is awesome right now. I'm going back for a second pair of tights.

I'm all about avoiding most temptation these days. Most.

Avoid temptation....a Title Nine just opened downtown...avoid temptation...

Great list! Too bad I have to go into REI to buy some pants for my husband. But I will try to be strong.

I am not even going into lululemon -- too many cute things in the window.

True words of wisdom! :)

One lululemon top isn't going to impoverish you. But, then again I'm a huge LL pushover by now.
