Light the Advent Candle one
Now the waiting has begun
We have started on our way
Time to think of Christmas Day.
Candle, candle burning bright
Shining in the cold winter night
Candle, candle burning bright
Fill our hearts with Christmas light.
Light the Advent Candle two
Think of humble shepherds who
Filled with wonder at the sight
Of the child on Christmas night.
Candle, candle burning bright
Shining in the cold winter night
Candle, candle burning bright
Fill our hearts with Christmas light.
Light the Advent Candle three
Think of heavenly harmony
Angels singing "Peace on Earth"
At the Blessed Saviour's birth
Candle, candle burning bright
Shining in the cold winter night
Candle, candle burning bright
Fill our hearts with Christmas light.
Light the Advent Candle four
Think of joy forever more
Christchild in a stable born
Gift of love that Chrismas morn.
Candle, candle burning bright
Shining in the cold winter night
Candle, candle burning bright
Fill our hearts with Christmas light.
The pageant video is worth listening through to the end, not only because the kids are cute, but somebody's little brother or sister really wants to join in. I miss the little kid Christmas concerts and plays. I couldn't decide which of the Sting videos to choose, one is a bit more hauntingly portrayed, but the other is nice as well. The last hymn is just because I love it.
2011. Sixty-six. $2.18.

Somebody's little brother or sister must have also been practicing at home! ; ) Love Mumford & Sons... would love to see them someday but think only a tavern would do as a venue.

Another of my favorite albums with songs of the season is Stings "If on a Winter's Night".

That is one of my favorite hymns. I want that one sung at my funeral!
