You know that commercial with the couple giving their excuses for not making it to the gym? That one cracks me up. "My mom called." "That's a day right there." Ahahahahaha!
The best is the guy at the piano, "TOOOOO Tired."
That's me right now. I really want to come up with something. I was going to post the quilt fabric stuff, but that post is very photo-heavy and I'm just not up to it. Then I thought I'd go with Carole's Ten on Tuesday. I went to check it out and I'm all like, "what's a tradition?"
Totally.
I doubt I could think of three, much less ten. And I would want at least one photo, which I haven't gotten together.
I was on such a roll, a post every day.
Wait, I thought of one: Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Bark. I made it myself one year and it was delicious.
Ooh! I thought of another. I get my Christmas mug collection up and drink everything out of them for the entire month. Egg Nog is particularly yummy. "But you don't do dairy!" I know it. I found a soy Egg Nog that is delicious right out of the carton. It's inspiring me to make a soy or almond milk nog on my own.
Another? PJs, ornaments and books for Christmas Eve. This would the perfect place for a photo of the girls when they were little in nightgowns that I made for them. I'll dig one out sometime soon. I would find Lanz of Salzburg fabric and make them nightgowns or pajamas. One year Pete got me pjs in the same fabric, pink with hearts. We matched. I had plenty of fabric so I made him a pair of boxers and we ALL matched. THAT is the photo I wanted for this post. Pete in pink flannel boxer shorts. He was h-o-t.
Tooooo tired. But I thought of three. Four: We host a breakfast for anyone that wants to come and because I make all the food ahead of time it ends up being the most relaxing part of the day.
Okay, that was four. I'm going to bed. I'll leave you with this, my new favorite version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
2011. Fifty-nine. $2.45. Well, that turned out to be a bit more of a post than I thought it would. Still no photo. Bummer.

I always got a new nightgown on Christmas Eve, too. I tried to continue that tradition with Hannah but I would always forget which package was the one with the PJs. Whoops.

I understand you're tired as you move at the speed of light, but I know you have many beautiful holiday traditions. Your Christmas always sounds so beautiful! Where are the snowmen?
