Knitting the Blues:

There is a link chain that got me to this, but I'm time impaired and this topic has me baffled only because I am having trouble narrowing down to ten songs that put me in a good mood (everytime I think of one it leads me to about ten more.....), so the end of that chain brought me to this post and I am joining in. I'll refrain from dredging out the memories or associations I have to each song, but they are all wide and varied. Here goes:

So much to say. No time to say it.

In my last post I featured photos of a quilt I was working on. I have lots to say about it, I have been photographing most of the process and will share.

Right now we are in time-out from each other.

In the meantime I made this:

It was a nice break from the other project and I was hyper-focused so I didn't photograph the process. Sorry. There are things I love about this and things I hate. I love the fabrics, but I think it is too busy. And please ignore the checkerboard center. I tried a new-to-me technique for piecing that was posted on Oh, Fransson! this same week! Just when I was doing something just like it! While I loved it and will do it again, I botched it a little. Some of my squares were cut a little too large and that is a problem. And while you are instructed to press and lift I think I may have moved my iron a little and that made a wonky mess. Next time will be the charm.

I'll have more to say after I quilt and bind it, but for now that's what I've been doing.

2012. Six. $1.85. Seriously. Six posts since the beginning of the year. And I will pay for this again at the end of the month......why?
