"Is she depressed?" "A bit downhearted?" "Does knitting bring her down?" Nope, none of these things! "Then why," you might be asking, "Knitting the Blues?" Well, this might give you a clue:
It's really the FIBER BLUES!!!
Everything blue! Yes, it is a tad bit on the obsessive side. I actually have some non-blue items in my wardrobe. Do I wear them? UMM.... maybe if I haven't kept up with the laundry for days and weeks and all of my blue clothes aren't wearable. When I am forced by someone or something to wear another color clothing, I trick 'em all and, you guessed it, wear my blue undies! Woo, Woo. Okay, TMI for those who are just getting to know me? Well, just so you all know-Knitting the Blues makes me hap, hap, happy! I was actually worried, after stocking up on all of my blue ribby turtlenecks this fall, that it may never be Tneck weather, but OOH, Baby It's Cold Outside! Big warm up to 30 tomorrow! We're Havin' A Heat Wave!
So, now that I figured out how to add pretty things to my posts-a big thank you to Steph and Greta. How great to experience first hand what I've heard tell-the friendly knit-bloggin community. So, now that I was helped to figure out how to add pretty thing to my posts, here is my next project.
Here is the yummy stuff:
that will become this:
Of course, the blue will be the main color. I really hope I love this sweater! I spent over an hour re-working the colors at a lys, then I take the yarn to the owner to get the required amount from back stock and......"I only have 3 balls of the main color and........" GROAN "...........it is discontinued, I can't get any more from Rowan." AAARRGH! Never one to turn down a challenge such as that, I went on a nation wide search for Rowan Wool Cotton in shade 904, Moonshine (I'll tell ya, I needed some after that). After some time on the phone to some not-so-local yarn stores, I received some of the yarn from the Fiber Loft in Mass. (they were awesome, I called asking about dye lots and such a few times that day-I am a pest!) and the rest from The Knitting Basket . Give me a phone, the internet and a credit card and watch me do some damage!
Whew! Time flies when you're having a blogging good time! Off to the needles!
Cute sweater! What is the pattern called, and who is the designer? Be sure to post the pictures of your progress -- I can't wait to see 'em!

Hi Karen, thanks for checking out my site! That pattern is in Rowan magazine #32. It is called Seb-though I intend to refer to it as Moonshine-and the designer is Debbie Abrahams. I am still in the swatching stage, but will post photos as soon as there is something to show! Thanks again!

Lookin' forward to watching your progress on this one. It's very cute and the colors you've picked are lovely. You and Blue Blog Alison would get along very well, I think. :)
