A Secret Pal strikes
A bad blogger doesn't post
Am I forgiven?
Open me, quick!!
Secret Pal, how could you know? My passion for Manos comes close to matching my addiction to Koigu! A skein or two seems to always find it's way home with me from most trips to the yarn store. I am a sucker for the colors. Yummy! This colorway blends in with my stash perfectly. Now I just have to find a project and put them to good use. If you look closely you can see a little notebook/journal and some Rooibus Tea. My daughter, Erin, a tea lover as well, couldn't wait to put the water on. We are loving it. The icing on the cake was the lovely notecard. Hmmmm....did you make that? It was the perfect touch to the gift, calming from start to finish. Please forgive me for not blogging immediately. Life here has been crazy.
I have some Haiku catching up to do.
Kids are back to school
Part-time job for me, so sad
Knitting time reduced.
I am having so much fun reading all of the haiku all around the knitting blogs. Thanks to Norma and Alison it has been a blast to see the creativity out there. Haiku always gets me. My daughter, Meg, is the Haiku queen. She is down-right hysterical with her 5-7-5 syllable poetry. How concisely a point can be conveyed. Check out Nathania's haiku-ing. I'm waiting for her to come up with a 5 syllable word. The challenge is on!
Yay, thanks for joining in on the haiku! That is a LOVELY present you got from your Secret Pal, and it looks like you figured out the photo thing -- you'll have to share your wisdom.

Archaeology! It's a five syllable word, and I have no idea how to incorporate it into a haiku. But I'm going to try! :-)

Thanks for visiting my blog. I love the Sea Glass colors. I've never knit with Kiogu, but it must be wonderful. It will be a while before I begin Sam and Sue. They are cute!

Here's my favorite haiku of all time, given to me by a stranger who called me during my college radio DJ shift:
Yellow M&M
on the big busy sidewalk:
Sitting, expectant.
