New Years Eve? We hope to be safely home after driving from southern California to Idaho. I bet we'll be fast asleep.

New Year's Eve...hm...Mike starts his new job that night, and we'll probably have family over. I long for the Eve's that are quiet and laid back with old movies on the DVD player, good cups of tea and knitting projects being finished. Maybe a little champagne at 12:00.

NYE? Me, Cherry Pie and Champagne at midnight and my two babies - the big one and the little one. There probably won't be a better one.

I don't buy into the New Year's Eve hype. I doubt you are surprised.

I will be getting a good night sleep! We have a 10K the next day!

My New Year's Eve will be pseudo Christmas Eve with the folks who couldn't make it then (weather, etc.), plus some, and with a bonfire and fireworks in the snow, food and bubbly beverages in the warm, but I plan for it all to be over at 8:00-8:30!! I'm perfectly fine pretending that 8:00 is midnight. The babies won't know the diff and all the old people will just be happy not to miss their normal bedtime.
