Ten Favorite Places To Shop. Ugh. I really hate shopping. Shopping of any kind, really. Even for stuff I like, I just sort of wish it would, by some magic, appear in my house when I need it. I guess online shopping is as close to that as it gets, but I don't even really like that. Here's a list anyway:
- ebay. For the treasures. And if you are looking for something it is bound to show up there sooner or later.
- Sheep and wool festivals.
- Ummmmmm
- Whole Paycheck.
- Book stores. I usually get to the big ones, but I love the independent ones more.
- Some yarn stores, when I am in the proper mood.
- <chirp, chirp> Thinking.....
- Really good fabric stores, with high quality clothing fabrics. They just don't exist anymore.
- Really good fabric stores, with high quality quilting fabrics. These are easier to find.
- Mostly, I like shopping for ideas, on knitting blogs, quilting blogs, Ravelry, and in the fabric and yarn stores or festivals. And when those places are filled with my friends, (well, to tell the truth-as long as I can look around for a while by myself), then it is all the better.
Sixty-three. The Ten Eight Least Loathsome Places That I Will Shop. That's more like it.
Shopping does suck, doesn't it?

What about the tea people?
What about music?
What about Starbucks?
What about running stuff?
Well?

There a few very good fabric stores for garment fabric in the Wash, DC area, if you ever find yourself here. Exquisite Fabrics is in DC proper (Georgetown) and G Street has a few locations in the suburbs. I can hardly imagine my life without these stores (shudder)... I need my fabric!
